Ramen-tic Experience in Mumbai

Are you a Ramentic Person ? hehe.. No we didn’t spell Romantic wrong rather Ramentic means a lover of Ramen. Well if you are, you’ve arrived at the right place. Cause we are gonna be talking about our experience enjoying a nice warm bowl of broth and noodles that will sooth your soul !!

There are many restaurants which serve different versions of Japanese meals but only few which hit the right notes when it comes to authentic taste or something close enough. As someone who has always been obsessed with Japanese culture, we’re always on the hunt for the “Japanese Experience” wherever we travel, be it collecting Manga’s, Anime Figurines, Kawai Stationary, etc. But mainly, we are always on the lookout for a yummy bowl of Ramen.

The best part of living in Mumbai, is the variety of cuisines we have access to. You name any major country and you’ll find something related to their local cuisine here or something close to that. Anyways, coming to our ramentic experience, we recently visited Kuuraku in Bandra.

What a lovely place !!!! We cannot express enough on what a beautiful cozy place they have there. Right from the entrance where you have lockers to place your shoes (A Japanese home will very often have a designated place to leave shoes right after entering a home) gives a very different vibe.

The interiors of the restaurant is something we really loved. If you’re looking for a private setting, they have just the cozy nook for you and your friends or family. Perfect for a Date Night !!!

On entering you have all the staff greeting you in Japanese which was kinda cool. Once shown to your seating area, you are served with a wet tissue to clean up. Each table has a gadget which you can ring to place your order or ask for the bill.

Coming to the Main Part- The Food was so so Good. Full disclosure- if you like spicy food, maybe its not the ideal place for you cause no amount of chilly oil can make your food spicy. The menu is quite extensive having all the main street foods like Yakitori which is grilled meats to Gyozas, Tempuras, and of course Ramen.

One other dish apart from Ramen that I will recommend to try is their Cheesecake!! Its so good! One of the best I’ve had which includes Daniel’s in Bandra.

The dishes we had were – Special Kushi Course, Teppen Gyoza (Chicken), Kuuraku Ramen which was their recommend one and of course their cheesecake. The food we ordered was enough for a party of two and was moderately priced.

Conclusion: It was a great experience and it’s definitely a place you will keep coming back to. And if you are a Raeman-tic too then we have crafted an exclusive T-shirt for you!
